Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about planning multi-city trips with Tripisio.
Trip planning
- How do I plan a multi-city trip?
- Select Multi-city on Tripisio, add your origin and up to 6 destination cities, set travel dates and a daily budget, then click Search & plan. You get a day-by-day AI itinerary, direct flight links for each leg, and hotel suggestions per city — all in under 30 seconds.
- How long should I spend in each city?
- 2–3 days per city is a solid starting point for a first visit. For a 7-day trip, a 3-city route works well. Tripisio's AI automatically distributes days across your stops based on total trip length and number of cities.
- What is the best order to visit cities on a multi-city trip?
- Geographically logical order (no backtracking) keeps flights cheaper. Tripisio's 83+ pre-built routes are already optimised for logical order. You can also use the Multi-city planner to enter cities in any order and compare flight costs.
- How many cities should I visit in one trip?
- For a 1-week trip, 2–3 cities is comfortable. For 2 weeks, 4–5 cities works well. Tripisio supports up to 6 stops per trip. Going beyond 5–6 cities risks spending more time in transit than actually exploring.
- Can I plan a spontaneous last-minute trip?
- Yes — Tripisio is built for spontaneous travel. The planner has no minimum lead time. Enter your cities, set dates starting tomorrow if needed, and get a full itinerary with available flights and hotels in seconds.
Flights
- How do I find cheap multi-city flights?
- Tripisio searches each leg of your route via Kiwi.com, which specialises in complex multi-stop itineraries and often finds combinations cheaper than booking each flight separately. Enter your cities and budget and you get direct links to the cheapest available options per leg.
- Is it cheaper to book multi-city flights together or separately?
- It depends. Kiwi.com (used by Tripisio) often builds cheaper combinations by mixing airlines across legs. Booking separately can sometimes be cheaper if one leg has a flash sale. Tripisio shows you the Kiwi option so you can compare manually.
- What is the cheapest way to do a Europe city-hopping trip?
- Fly into one hub and out of another (open-jaw), then use budget airlines (Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet) between cities. Tripisio's One-way and Multi-city modes are designed for exactly this. Travel in shoulder season (April–May or September–October) for the lowest fares.
Itinerary & AI
- How does Tripisio generate the itinerary?
- Tripisio uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to generate a day-by-day itinerary tailored to your specific cities, travel dates, and daily budget. Each day is broken into Morning / Afternoon / Evening with activity suggestions and local tips.
- Can I customise the AI itinerary?
- Currently the AI generates a complete itinerary based on your input. You can re-run the search with different cities, dates, or budget to get a different plan. Custom editing of individual days is on the roadmap.
- Does the itinerary include restaurant recommendations?
- Yes — the AI itinerary includes food suggestions appropriate for each city and budget level, typically as part of the afternoon or evening sections.
